Greece's Mytilineos not keen on buying Terna Energy stake

Greek industrial group Mytilineos SA (FRA:MYH) is not interested in acquiring a stake in domestic renewable power producer Terna Energy (ATH:TENERGY), it said on Thursday after certain reports on the matter in local media.

Rebuffing the reports in a bourse filing, Mytilineos claimed they do not correspond to reality and are “completely groundless.”

As of end-September 2022, Terna Energy had 895 MW of renewable power plants in operation, the bulk of which wind, and 1,234 MW of wind, solar, hydro and energy storage projects under construction. The company’s goal is to own 3,300 MW of capacity in 2025.

Mytilineos develops and builds solar and energy storage projects through its renewables and storage development (RSD) business. The division had a 9.1-GW portfolio at the end of 2022, including 539 MW of capacity in operation, 1 GW under construction and 2.2 GW of projects nearing the shovel-ready status.
