Nordic renewables developer Landinfra Energy AB has signed a deal with Taaleri Energia to jointly work on a Swedish pipeline of up to 1,900 MW, consisting of hybrid projects that combine solar, wind, and energy storage.
Under the terms of the newly-signed agreement, Taaleri Energia is buying a 50% interest in the project portfolio from Landinfra, which is keeping the remaining half. The portfolio in question includes 1,100 MW of solar plus storage and 800 MW of wind coupled with batteries, all of which are in the development stage. To fully realise them, the partners estimate they will need to invest over EUR 1.5 billion (USD 1.61bn).
Most of the projects are located in SE4 in Sweden, and the remaining are situated in SE3. Subject to receiving the needed approvals, the first projects are seen to become operational in 2025.
“These projects will be part of the SolarWind III Fund’s seed portfolio of between 30 and 40 wind, solar and storage development projects from across the Fund’s target markets. The first close of the SolarWind III Fund is expected to take place April-May 2023,” commented Kai Rintala, managing director of Taaleri Energia, which, in turn, is part of Finnish investment and asset manager Taaleri Oyj.
