UK marine engineering company James Fisher and Sons plc (LON:FSJ) said Tuesday it was recently awarded several contracts in the offshore wind power sector worth a combined GBP 30 million (USD 37.2m/EUR 33.2m).
James Fisher was awarded contracts for the unexploded ordinance work and boulder clearance at the 714-MW East Anglia One and the 857-MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm projects. The company was also hired to decommission the met mast at the site of East Anglia One and provide other offshore services there.
The company has also joined the team at the 950-MW Moray East project in Scottish waters with a contract to provide marine coordination and communication.
Also in the UK, James Fisher’s high voltage engineering specialist business EDS HV Group has been awarded a 15-year operation and maintenance (O&M) services contract for offshore transmission (OFTO) assets at the 504-MW Greater Gabbard wind farm off the coast of Suffolk.
In Taiwan, the marine engineering firm has been awarded an initial contract for unexploded ordinance and survey work and structural monitoring, along with consultancy work.
