Vestas adds another Italian order, wins UK and Irish contracts too

Denmark’s Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) last week unveiled a total of 359 MW of wind turbine supply contracts in Europe, continuing the gradual wrap-up of its 2022 orders disclosure.

As previously reported, Vestas started by unveiling a 56-MW supply order in Ireland and one for 37 MW of capacity in Italy. Then, it disclosed a 126-MW order for the Bord na Mona Derrinlough wind project in Ireland and a 108-MW contract from Infinergy UK to equip the Limekiln project in the Scottish Highlands.

On Friday, the company announced it has also secured an order to supply 32 MW of its turbines for two wind projects in the region of Campania, southwestern Italy. The customer in this case is Italian gruppo De Vizia.

The contracts in the UK and Ireland will be fulfilled in 2024, while the second order in Italy will be executed during the second half of 2023.
