Ahlsell to buy solar equipment provider Solelgrossisten

Swedish technical trader Ahlsell, owned by private equity firm CVC Capital Partners, has sealed a deal to acquire local solar equipment wholeseller Solelgrossisten Sverige AB in a push to expand its offering of e-mobility, energy storage and solar energy products.

The price tag of the deal was not disclosed.

Solelgrossisten specialises in solar energy, EV charging and energy storage, selling its products to installers and dealers. The company also offers a proprietary calculation tool for dimensioning photovoltaic installations. The business reported a turnover of SEK 95 million (USD 9.15m/EUR 8.62m) for 2021.

Completion of the deal is expected in early January 2023.

Ahlsell is a distributor of installation products, tools and supplies for installation, construction, real estate management, industrial and power companies and the public sector. It has about 6,000 employees and operates over 240 stores and three warehouses.
