UK-based renewables developer RES said it is taking over Danish wind turbine analytics firm Anemo Analytics in a drive to expand its portfolio of services and solutions offered to clients.
Founded in 2016, Anemo offers solutions for monitoring and optimisation of assets that help improve annual energy production and reduce downtime. It has so far supported 16 GW of operating assets globally, with current key markets in Europe and the Americas, both onshore and offshore.
The value of the deal, which is subject to local regulatory clearance, was withheld.
“There is a huge opportunity to improve asset performance through analytics, soft and hard-tech solutions, especially when combined with asset management,” RES’ CEO Eduardo Medina said in the statement.
The British firm earlier in 2022 took over Aussie renewable energy asset manager Blueshore.
RES is an independent renewable energy company active in onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy storage, green hydrogen, transmission and distribution. It has delivered more than 23 GW of renewable energy projects and supports an operational asset portfolio of over 10 GW for clients across the world.
The Kings Langley, Hertfordshire-based company earlier in December filed a planning application for a 49.9-MW solar project in England. In November, it submitted a planning application for a Scottish wind farm of up to 126 MW.
