In the final days of 2022, Danish renewables developer European Energy A/S announced the connection to the grid of two power plants – a 51-MW solar park in Denmark and a 36-MW wind farm in Brazil.
Located in Western Jutland, the Holmen II solar power facility is the last of the four sub-projects – two solar parks totalling 71 MW and two wind farms totalling 39.6 MW – that now form the Holmen energy park in Ringkobing-Skjern Municipality. European Energy has been in charge of the development of the last three stages and in the case of Holmen II it collaborated with Copenhagen Energy.
This year, European Energy has switched on more than 500 MW in Denmark.
In Brazil, the company has hooked to the grid the eight-turbine Ouro Branco I wind farm in the state of Pernambuco and said it is continuing its work on other local projects including Ouro Branco II and Quatro Ventos.
European Energy’s renewables development pipeline in Brazil currently amounts to 1.1 GW.
