Technip Energies gets FEED job for Danish eFuels project

Technip Energies NV (EPA:TE) has won a contract from Arcadia eFuels to handle the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) of a project to build a commercial-scale eFuels plant in Vordingborg, Denmark, for the production of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs).

Arcadia eFuels has developed an eFuels production process that relies on proven technologies such as renewable energy generation, electrolysis, carbon capture, electrified reverse water gas shift, low-temperature Fischer Tropsch and hydroprocessing.

Technip Energies’s job is to engineer the first eFuels facility with the capacity to produce about 80,000 tonnes per year of eKerosene and eNaphtha, as well as a 250-MW electrolyser for green hydrogen production.

According to the announcement, pre-FEED and early works were concluded recently and the parties hope to start the operation of the plant in 2026. They did not disclose the value of the FEED contract.
