Argentina's YPF Luz announces 155-MW wind farm project

Argentine power producer YPF Luz said on Friday that it will build its fourth wind farm in the South American country, investing over USD 260 million (EUR 241.1m) in the project.

The 155-MW General Levalle wind farm will be made up of 25 turbines of 6.2 MW per unit. It will occuply some 4,360 hectares (10,774 acres) in the village of General Levalle in Cordoba province, central Argentina. YPF Luz said the wind farm could achieve a capacity factor of over 50% there.

Once up and running, General Levalle will join the company's wind power fleet in Argentina, which includes the Manantiales Behr, Los Teros and Canadon Leon wind farm.
