Colombia's clean power share close to 90% in Oct

Renewables and clean power plants produced 89.67% of Colombia’s electricity in October, national grid operator XM Compania de Expertos en Mercados said.

This was an increase compared to the share of 87.22% that non-conventional renewables and large hydro power plants (HPPs) combined reached in September.

All power plants in the national grid system (SIN) generated 6,632.82 GWh in October, up by some 3.3% month-on-month. Renewables and large HPPs together produced around 191.86 GWh per day on average, up by 2.77% compared to September.
