Polish solar EPC firm Nomad Electric opens office in Romania

Polish solar construction and maintenance services provider Nomad Electric has set foot in the Romanian market by opening a new branch in the capital city of Bucharest.

The Warsaw-based firm said on Monday that the move is aligned with its international development strategy and comes on the heels of its recent plans to expand in Portugal and Italy. Its presence in Romania will help it take advantage of the Balkan country’s goal to lift the share of renewable energy in total production to over 30% by 2030.

Nomad Electric provides engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) services for large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects. The company says it currently has in place contracts to oversee more than 1.1 GWp of solar parks and will add more by stepping into new markets in 2023. It monitors the performance of solar farms across Europe from a high-tech 24/7 centre in Lodz, Poland.

“We are part of the group which operates in a number of European countries, while the RES market in Central and Eastern Europe is on the rise and offers great opportunities,” said Pawe Muszynski, business development director at Nomad Electric.
