MaxSolar adds 3.1 GW to PV projects pipeline

German solar developer MaxSolar GmbH announced that it is adding to its network a 3.1-GW portfolio of photovoltaic (PV) projects from local peer SEAC Group.

The partnership with Hebertsfelden, Bavaria-based SEAC expands MaxSolar's project development to over 6.5 GW, turning it into one of the largest solar developers in Germany, a press release said.

The financial terms of the acquisition were withheld.

MaxSolar will be in charge of the realisation of all stages of the development process for the ground-mounted photovoltaic plants. The agreed cooperation will see part of SEAC’s development team joining MaxSolar.

The two companies are already well acquainted with each other, having partnered on project implementation as general contractors for the construction and operation of large PV projects throughout Germany.

MaxSolar is currently building a 125-MWp solar park in Bavaria which is expected to be completed by the middle of 2023.
