Poland's Orlen Poludnie plans to build biogas purification plant

Polish refiner Orlen Poludnie, part of the PKN Orlen (WSE:PKN) group, has invited bids for the construction of a biogas desulphurisation plant at its biorefinery in Trzebina, shows a tender document published on Tuesday.

The installation is to enable the purification of biogas obtained from industrial wastewater coming from biodiesel production or glycerine treatment.

The deadline for lodging proposals is March 1, 2023.

The plant will be located on the site of the sewage treatment plant in Trzebinia. The presented solution needs to be designed to purify the resulting biogas to parameters enabling its combustion in a boiler room or other utility spaces.

Orlen Poludnie specialises in the production and sale of biofuels, biocomponents, paraffins and solvents, as well as products obtained during crude oil processing and oil regeneration.
