Polferries sets up fleet service unit for offshore wind in Poland

Polish ferry operator Polska Zegluga Baltycka SA (PZB), trading as Polferries, has set up a company, PZB Offshore, to provide fleet services to future offshore wind projects, PZB Offshore said on Monday.

The company will rely on its experience, staff and foreign partners to create a platform for offshore wind projects in Poland, PZB Offshore added.

The operation is in line with the company's development and diversification plans as well as its ambitions to provide local content to the offshore wind sector and participate in the energy transformation of the country, PZB Offshore said in a media statement without giving further details.

State-owned PZB, based in Kolobrzeg, operates five ferries connecting the Polish ports of Gdansk and Swinoujscie with Copenhagen and Sweden's Nynashamn.
