All but one of the indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) finished Tuesday's trading session in the red, with the blue-chip SOFIX index closing down 0.03% at 636.04 points.
Total turnover on the BSE's main market decreased to just under 23.9 million levs ($13.4 million/12.2 million euro) from to 26.5 million levs on Monday, bourse data showed.
Battery manufacturer Monbat [BUL:MONB] led the gainers amongst the SOFIX companies. It closed 3.67% higher at 5.65 levs, with 995 shares changing hands.
Diversified group Synthetica [BUL:SYN] was the most-traded company on Tuesday, generating a turnover of 5.9 million levs. Synthetica lost 0.41% to 49 levs, with a total of 120,500 shares traded.
The BGBX40 declined by 0.33% to 146.45 points, dragged down by Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:ZHBG], which slipped 7.56% to 0.22 levs.
Meanwhile, the BGTR30 also went down, by 0.30% to 742.13 points.
Chimimport [BUL:CHIM] helmed the top five decliners in both of the above indices, with shares dropping 5.07% to 1.03 levs at the close and 28,950 units traded.
BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, was the only index to have closed on the up, gaining 0.32% to 176.09 points as it was buoyed by a 1.98% rise in Bulgarian Real Estate Fund REIT [BUL:BREF], to 2.06 levs.
