Pearce Renewables buys wind, solar O&M firm Mountain Renewables

Pearce Renewables, a division of operations, maintenance and engineering services provider Pearce Services, has acquired California-based Mountain Renewables LLC, which provides technical field services for the wind and utility-scale solar industries.

The acquired company is focused on providing comprehensive solutions for the entire life cycle of renewable energy infrastructure, including installation and commissioning, maintenance and major component exchange, along with repowering, operational support and decommissioning.

“The addition of Mountain Renewables adds to Pearce’s deep expertise and provides an outstanding complement to our end-to-end technical services, operations, and maintenance capabilities,” said Zack Dorfman, Pearce Renewables’ Senior Vice President of Wind.

The latest deal expands Pearce Renewables’ capabilities across the renewable energy field and comes on the heels of its acquisition of sector player Mortenson Energy Services LLC in June. The latter offers renewable energy repair and maintenance services, mainly in the field of wind and solar.

Also in 2020, Pearce Renewables took control of turbine servicing company A & A Wind Pros. The company currently has over 850 technicians and serves utility-scale wind, solar, electric vehicle (EV) charging and battery energy storage system infrastructure.
