UPDATE - Foresight buys 83-MW UK wind portfolio

London-based investment manager Foresight Group LLP announced today that it bought an 83-MW wind power portfolio in addition to the five solar assets disclosed last week.

Specifically, the group has acquired four onshore wind farms, details for which can be viewed in the table below.

The largest wind park in Cheshire is owned equally with Peel Energy through a 50/50 joint venture.

The transaction represents Foresight’s first significant wind acquisition after the purchase of the 5-MW Kinegar wind farm in 2017. All newly acquired assets, both wind and solar, were bought from companies managed by Belltown Power Ltd.

Foresight noted it expects to close another wind acquisition in the coming weeks.
