Brazil to hold biomass conference Aug 23-25

(ADPnews) - Jun 10, 2011 - The second edition of Biomass Investing Brazil Summit will be held between August 23 and 25 in Sao Paulo.

The event, to discuss the news and trends of local biomass energy generation industry, will include workshops and presentations of studies and projects under implementation.

According to Brazil's energy sector regulator Aneel, biomass currently accounts for 6.64% of Brazil's energy generation. This percentage translates into 8,100 MW of generated power from sugar cane bagasse, black liquor, wood and rice hulls, among others.
