Sep 14, 2012 - German machinery maker Singulus (ETR:SNG) will present a new production solution for rear side passivated silicon solar cells, such as passivated emitter and rear cells (PERCs), at the 27th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC).
Singulus’ solution was developed for the upgrade of existing cell production lines in particular. It is necessary especially for very thin wafers, which are to be used more and more in the future, and reduces the electricity and optical efficiency losses of cells through an additional dielectric coating on the rear side of the cells.
The German group offers solutions for all three additional production steps in upgrading solar cells production lines, with which the efficiency of the PERC cells can be increased to up to 20%.
At EU PVSEC, to take place from September 25 to September 28 in Frankfurt am Main, the company will also present various other product innovations, through which it wants to expand its activities in the solar industry.
