-- EDP concludes minority stake buy in Brazilian B2C solar producer

Brazilian energy company EDP Energias do Brasil SA (BVMF:ENBR3) said it has concluded the acquisition of a 40% stake in local solar distributed generation (DG) firm Blue Sol Participacoes SA.

-- Orix buys 21.8% of Indian renewables player Greenko

Japanese financial services group Orix Corporation (TYO:8591) said it has closed the acquisition of a 21.8% stake in Indian renewables company Greenko Energy Holdings.

-- Rosatom's storage business takes 49% stake in Korean Li-ion battery co

Renera LLC, the energy storage business of Russian state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, has finalised an agreement to acquire a 49% stake in South Korean lithium-ion battery specialist Enertech International Inc.

-- Statkraft sheds stake in 256-MW wind farm in Norway

Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft AS has sold its majority shareholding in the 255.6-MW Roan wind farm that was initially part of the 1,057 MW Fosen Vind cluster in central Norway.

-- Endesa buys 519 MW of solar projects in southern Spain

Spanish energy utility Endesa SA (BME:ELE) said it has acquired a portfolio of 519 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects located in Huelva province, southern Spain.

-- Capital Dynamics buys 50-MW solar project in Spain

Switzerland-based asset management firm Capital Dynamics announced that it had closed the purchase of a 50-MW solar project in southern Spain from Irish renewable energy solutions provider WElink Group.

-- Hensoldt to buy French hydrogen storage tanks maker Mahytec

Hensoldt AG (ETR:HAG), the German provider of defence and security electronics, said it has agreed to buy French hydrogen storage tanks maker Mahytec.

-- Canadian Solar sheds 61-MW solar portfolio in Japan

Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ) has finalised the sale of a 61-MWp portfolio of solar parks in Japan to Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund (TYO:9284), or CSIF, in a deal worth JPY 30.6 billion.

French solar products maker PhotoWatt is reviewing strategic options as its parent EDF Renewables wants to withdraw from the financially-burdened business amid a plan to exit non-core operations, the Les Echos daily reports.

A number of investors including Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SU) have agreed to provide growth capital to Uplight Inc in a deal that values the Colorado-based energy software firm at USD 1.5 billion.

Project management services provider Dovre Group Oyj (HEL:DOV1V) has signed a conditional deal to take control of Suvic Oy, a Finnish construction company that specialises in wind farm infrastructure.

Australian utility AGL Energy Ltd (ASX:AGL) said it has agreed to buy domestic solar installers Epho and Solgen Energy Group in a bid to expand its offerings on the commercial solar market at home.

-- Repsol buys majority stake in Spanish renewable power retailer

Repsol SA (BME:REP) has bought a majority stake in Spanish renewable power retailer Gana Energia in an effort to beef up its power and gas utility business, it was announced.

-- Akuo may exit biomass amid solar, wind refocusing

French renewable power supplier Akuo Energy said it is holding talks to offload its biomass business, held together with compatriot Idinvest Partners, and stakes in related assets, aiming to shift its focus to wind and solar.

-- Northvolt eyes growth with purchase of lithium-metal battery co Cuberg

Swedish energy storage specialist Northvolt AB has acquired US lithium-metal battery start-up Cuberg Inc in a bid to commercialise the technology for electromobility applications and gain access to markets outside Europe.

London-based investment platform National Energy Holdings has finalised the acquisition of a portfolio of operational wind and solar farms totalling around 70 MW in Greece.

-- Italy's Eni, CDP Equity form renewables JV targeting 1 GW

Oil and gas company Eni SpA (BIT:ENI) announced that it has set up a 51/49 joint venture with CDP Equity SpA to add 1 GW of renewables in Italy by 2025.

-- Nautilus Solar buys 47-MW community solar portfolio in Maine

Nautilus Solar Energy LLC has acquired eight community solar projects in Maine with a combined direct current (DC) capacity of 47.2 MW, it announced.

-- RWE buys E.on's remaining 20% in Rampion

German energy group RWE AG (ETR:RWE) will be taking control of the 400-MW Rampion offshore wind farm formally, whilst compatriot E.on SE (ETR:EOAN) exits the asset.

-- Polish regulator clears 2 state-owned companies' offshore wind JVs

Poland’s Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, locally known as UOKiK, has given the green light to two state-owned companies to create joint ventures (JVs) with foreign partners for the construction of wind farms in the Baltic Sea.

-- MET Group buys 77-MWp shovel-ready solar project in Hungary

Swiss energy company MET Group announced the purchase of a 77-MWp solar project in Hungary from local company Opus Global Nyrt.
