Renewable hydrogen producer Lhyfe SA (EPA:LHYFE) and Gaussin SA (EPA:ALGAU), which designs hydrogen-powered heavy handling vehicles, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic partnership, the two French-based companies said today.
The partners seek to provide a global offering for the production and distribution of carbon-free mobility at ports, airports and logistics sites. They will explore combining Gaussin’s hydrogen vehicles with the green hydrogen produced by Lhyfe. The companies will also be looking to identify potential customers in France and abroad.

Lhfye, which launched its first green hydrogen industrial production site last year, says it has a pipeline representing 9.8 GW of capacity by 2030.
“Renewable green hydrogen is now an extremely relevant solution for the logistics sector, from all points of view – ecologically, practically and economically,” said Lhyfe mobility development director Christophe Dubruque. “This memorandum of understanding with Gaussin will allow us to approach the very specific sector of logistics, port and airport sites with a perfectly adapted turnkey solution,” Dubruque added.
“Gaussin has a full range of hydrogen-powered vehicles, and we want to accelerate the implementation of these mobility solutions by facilitating, via Lhyfe, the distribution of green hydrogen,” said Gaussin chief executive Christophe Gaussin.
Gaussin in early 2022 successfully completed the Dakar Rally with its H2 Racing truck, the first hydrogen truck to take part in this event.
