Estonia, Latvia discuss joint offshore wind project

The ministers of economy of Estonia and Latvia met in Riga last Friday to talk about a joint offshore wind project in the Gulf of Riga.

A joint offshore wind development could result in significant economic benefits and help make the electricity supply in both countries more secure, Latvia's minister Ralfs Nemiro said.

Nemiro and Estonia's minister, Taavi Aas, agreed that the next step was to establish the key foundations for cooperation on the project, according to the report.
